Tree Strike Causes Tragic Train Accident

Early on Monday morning, a New Jersey Transit train traveling southbound from Trenton hit a fallen tree just north of Roebling Station in Mansfield Township. The impact was severe. Unfortunately, the train operator lost their life. This is the first tragic incident in the area's memory according to long-time residents. Out of the 42 passengers on board, 23 sustained injuries, but they were non-life-threatening and mostly minor.
