The latest poll numbers are not looking good for Trump. His favorability among Hispanic adults has taken a big hit since he started his second term. Back in March, 44% of Hispanic adults had a positive view of him. Now, that number has dropped to just 25%. That's a pretty steep decline.
Things aren't looking up for Trump in other areas either. More Hispanic adults now think the country is heading in the wrong direction. In March, 63% felt that way. Now, it's up to 73%. That's a lot of people feeling pessimistic about the future.
Trump's handling of the economy and immigration, two big issues for many voters, is also getting less approval. In March, 41% approved of his job performance. Now, only 27% do. That's a significant drop.
Hispanic voters were a big part of Trump's victory in 2024. Nearly half of them voted for him, which was a big jump from 2020. But now, his support among Hispanic Republicans is also dropping. Back in September 2024, 83% of Hispanic Republicans viewed him favorably. Now, it's down to 65%.
Immigration is still a big concern for Hispanic adults. About two-thirds say it's an important issue to them. But not everyone agrees with Trump's hardline policies. Only about one-quarter support deporting all immigrants living in the US illegally. Roughly half are opposed to the policy.
Economically, things are tough for many Hispanic households. They're reporting higher levels of stress about groceries, housing, healthcare, and wages than the general US population. Younger Hispanics and men in the community are also feeling more negative about Trump. Roughly two-thirds of Hispanic adults under 45 and Hispanic men now view him unfavorably.
