Trump’s Pick for Middle East Peace: Meet Steve Witkoff

President-elect Trump recently announced that real estate mogul Steven Witkoff will serve as the special envoy to the Middle East in his incoming administration. Trump highlighted Witkoff’s business acumen and philanthropic efforts, claiming that his strong leadership skills will drive peace initiatives. Witkoff, who will co-chair Trump’s inaugural committee alongside former Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga. ), has a history of supporting Trump’s policies, particularly his dealings with Israel. In September, Witkoff was reportedly with Trump and others during a golf outing that coincided with an alleged assassination attempt. Additionally, Witkoff has been involved in a recent cryptocurrency project with Trump and their sons. Notably, Witkoff testified as an expert witness during Trump’s civil fraud trial in New York.
