Uma Thurman, known for her epic role as Beatrix Kiddo in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies, has a new exciting project. She’s joining the cast of Dexter: Resurrection, a sequel to the popular horror crime show Dexter. Thurman started her acting career in 1987 and has since shown her versatility in different genres, from dramas to comedies and even superhero movies. Her breakthrough role was in Pulp Fiction, and she later reunited with Tarantino for the two-part martial arts action film Kill Bill.
Now, 21 years after the release of Kill Bill Vol. 2, Thurman has found another great role. Dexter: Resurrection is the latest installment in the Dexter franchise, which began in 2006 and follows the story of Dexter Morgan, a forensic technician who moonlights as a vigilante serial killer. The show is famous for its controversial finales and its return with the sequel series Dexter: New Blood.
Thurman’s new character, Charley, is a former Special Ops officer who now works as the Head of Security for a mysterious billionaire. This role is intriguing because it hints that Charley could be Dexter’s biggest adversary yet, testing his skills and intelligence. Charley’s background in physical combat and strategy makes her a formidable opponent. It’s exciting to see Thurman in a potentially villainous or morally ambiguous role, and fans are looking forward to seeing her action skills in this new series.
