Uncovering the Truth Behind the Jan. 6 Pipe Bomb Arrest

A man was caught for putting pipe bombs near important buildings in Washington, D. C. , just before the big events of January 6, 2021. The people in charge said they would punish anyone who tried to hurt the country. But they didn't talk much about the violence that happened the next day when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol. This isn't the first time the people in charge have tried to downplay what happened on January 6. They've even pardoned some of the people who were involved in the attack. Some officials have also been fired or moved around because they were investigating or prosecuting the rioters. One of the officials, Dan Bongino, used to think the pipe bomb thing was a setup by someone inside the government. But now that he's part of the FBI, he says they're doing everything they can to find the person responsible. The man who was arrested, Brian Cole Jr. , believes some crazy theories about the 2020 election. But there's no proof that the election was stolen. Lots of people, including some Republicans, have said the election was fair. The people in charge have been saying they're tough on crime. But they've also been trying to make the January 6 attack seem less serious. They've even pardoned people who were seen on camera hurting police officers. Some people who were investigating the attack have been fired or demoted. And two prosecutors were put on leave after they described the attackers as a "mob of rioters. " The Justice Department later changed their words in a court filing. One man who was pardoned was accused of throwing an explosive device and a big piece of wood at police officers. Some of the officers said they thought they were going to die. Several of them also reported having temporary hearing loss.
