Team USA is in a tough spot after losing the 2025 Ryder Cup. Jim Furyk, who helped out as a vice-captain, has some strong thoughts on what needs to change.
First off, the team needs to take a good look at themselves. They were way behind early on, and even though they fought hard at the end, it wasn't enough. Furyk thinks they need to improve, but he doesn't believe they should start from scratch. He remembers how the team turned things around in 2014 and thinks they can build on that.
Furyk also talked about the idea of a playing captain, like Keegan Bradley. He doesn't think it's a good idea. Being a captain is a lot of work, and adding playing to that seems too much. He thinks Bradley did a good job as captain, but it's clear that the role is a full-time job.
Looking ahead, Team USA has a big challenge. They need to win on home soil and then take it to Europe. It won't be easy, but Furyk believes they can get better with the right plan.
