It's happened again! Universal Orlando Resort has called off another weekend at Volcano Bay, the popular water theme park, due to those pesky low temperatures and nasty weather making their way through Central Florida. This time, Mother Nature has caused the park to close its doors on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25. Guests should keep an eye on the resort's social media channels or give them a call at 407-817-8317 for the latest updates.
Friday is expected to be a chilly 56° F during the day, dropping to a frosty 36° F at night. Saturday might warm up a bit, with a high of 63° F, but it'll still be nippy at 44° F. Maybe the park will be in luck and can open back up on Sunday, January 26, if the weather plays nice.
The water park wasn't the only one having issues. Last week, Volcano Bay was closed on January 15 and 16 due to those same low temperatures. Talk about a run of bad luck!
Universal has some exciting news on the horizon, though. They've just announced a special after-hours event for the water park, coming later this spring. Fingers crossed that event doesn't face the same weather woes!
Do these closures mess up your vacation plans? Share your thoughts in the comments or on social media.
