Why Some People in Chile Are Missing Out on HIV Testing

Have you ever wondered why some people might not be getting tested for HIV? A recent study in Chile took a close look at this question. Researchers used data from a big survey called the National Health, Sexuality, and Gender Survey 2022-2023 to figure out who's more likely to skip HIV testing. They talked to over 20, 000 adults living in cities and found some interesting patterns. Older folks, especially men over 40, and those with less education seemed to be less likely to get tested. Also, people who were straight, single, and felt healthy were less likely to get tested. Isn't that interesting?
