In today's fast-paced world, the transportation sector is a backbone of modern society. It's no surprise that the well-being of its workers is crucial. A recent study dug into how job satisfaction, stress, and mental health are connected. It also looked at how gender and education level might influence these factors.
The study focused on workers in Turkiye. It aimed to understand the links between job satisfaction, work stress, and mental well-being. The research also wanted to see how these connections might differ for men and women, as well as for people with different education levels.
To gather data, the study used a simple random sampling method. A total of 326 participants volunteered to take part. The research used various statistical methods, including correlation, t-tests, and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). CFA helped to show how these different factors are unique and interconnected.
The findings were quite revealing. There was a strong relationship between job satisfaction, mental well-being, and work stress for both genders. Interestingly, education level was found to be a significant predictor of these three concepts. This means that the level of education a person has can influence their job satisfaction, stress levels, and overall mental health.
For female employees, the strongest correlation was between job satisfaction and job stress. This suggests that when women are satisfied with their jobs, they experience less stress. For male employees, the strongest correlation was between mental well-being and job satisfaction. This indicates that when men are happy with their jobs, it positively impacts their mental health.
These findings highlight the importance of addressing job satisfaction and stress in the workplace. It's clear that both can have a significant impact on mental well-being. The study also shows that education level plays a role in these dynamics. This suggests that providing opportunities for further education and training could be beneficial for employees' overall well-being.
